New dealership boosts network for leading truck and bus manufacturer

MAN Truck & Bus UK welcomes Newmarket-based Manchetts as service partner

MAN has extended its service offering in the Cambridge/ Newmarket area by forming a partnership with family-run Manchetts.

Rob Zubovic, MAN’s head of network development, has welcomed the deal with the thriving business.

He said: “As our new service partner Manchetts in Newmarket provides a strong strategic fit in support of our commitment to further developing our network coverage in terms of customer support.

“Manchetts is a family-run business and since it was established in 1961 it has built a very strong reputation for delivering quality service to customers.

“In addition to providing excellent support, MAN believes the partnership will also provide a strong presence for our sales growth over the next three to five years.”

Rob Manchett, the dealer principal, added: “We recognised the need for an MAN presence in the area to support local demand and are very much looking forward to the new opportunities this agreement will provide.

“Established within motor vehicle sales and repair since 2002 and now spanning four generations, adding MAN to the company profile of expertise and service was an obvious move.

“We are confident of our ability to offer and deliver a premium customer service and we feel we can grow our business working with the MAN brand.

“The dealership will be based at our state of the art site in Newmarket which includes an ATF lane as well as a tacho bay. Expanding to new premises in Newmarket in 2014, expectations of growth have been fulfilled and the commercial arm of the company is ready for this development.

“The reputation for reliability and customer loyalty upheld by MAN are familiar values to which Manchetts is wholly committed. We are planning for this mutually beneficial partnership to benefit existing clients and to attract new business.”

Mr Zubovic added: “Over the last few years, alongside its private capital dealers, MAN has invested in its customer support centres.

“The result today is a modern MAN Network with the highly trained staff, technical expertise and the nationwide spread to deliver market-leading support services.

“MAN’s focus is exclusively on customer support and the network is there to do that – to support MAN products and their operators while sales of MAN vehicles are all handled by MAN simply because we want MAN customers to have direct access to the best support available.”

MAN now has 67 dealerships, of which 16 are wholly owned and the remaining 51 are private capital dealerships.
