MJ Church Sings MAN Praises

Civil Engineering, Earthworks and Waste Management company, MJ Church in Chippenham, has added two new MAN TGX 26.480 6x4 tractor units, with XXL cabs, to its 50 vehicle fleet. Vehicles were supplied, and will be serviced and maintained by, MAN Truck & Bus Bristol.

The tractors are fleet replacements, complimenting four new MAN TGS 35.400 BB 8x4 tippers, further reinforcing MAN’s status as the company’s predominant and preferred marque in its 50+ fleet.

The two new TGX units are plated at 80 tonnes for low-loader transportation of crushers, excavators, and other various plant and equipment.

“AdBlue, for us, is a fundamental non-requirement,” said General Manager, David Bell. “It’s a major operational consideration, particularly for fleets the size of ours, and especially as we are primarily a tipper operation where chassis space is at a premium.”

“We are very pleased with productivity from our MANs,” he said, “and reliability has never been in doubt – and we’ve been running MANs for 21 years now.

“Service levels from our MAN Truck Centre in Bristol are very high too – all our requirements are met.”

With over 30 years experience in excavation and civil engineering, MJ Church has expanded and diversified into one of largest ‘contractors’ in the south-west. The MJ Church portfolio now includes contracting, plant, transport, recycling, skip hire, crushing & screening and waste management.
