MAN Unveils Manchester Flagship

This week sees the unveiling of MAN’s new, multi-million pound, purpose-built MAN Truck Centre in Manchester’s Trafford Park. On 18th June, MAN Truck & Bus Manchester opens its doors as MAN’s flagship Truck Centre in the UK.

The new facility will form the hub of MAN’s commercial vehicle business activities for MAN’s Centre Midlands region, and bolster MAN’s nationwide network of nearly 70 Truck Centres and Service Centres. MAN and NEOPLAN coach sales will also be headquartered at the Manchester site, while the company’s bus sales operation remains out of MAN’s Swindon headquarters.

With £9 million channelled into state-of-the-art facilities, MAN Truck & Bus Manchester boasts 46,000sq.ft. of workshop and office space, and a 20,000sq.ft. Special Fitment Centre (SFC) building. Customers will benefit from enhanced service levels, including:

  • 100 trained staff
  • Dedicated ADR lane
  • Truck, bus, coach servicing
  • Two full-length bus/coach bays
  • Specialist 'VOSA' lane
  • Dedicated diagnostic lane
  • 'All makes' parts
  • 22 service bays

“This is the new benchmark MAN Truck Centre in the UK,” said MAN Truck & Bus UK’s CEO, Des Evans, “In fact, you’d be hard pushed to find a larger, more modern, better equipped dealership in the UK truck industry.

“We have a facility here that truly reflects our Trucknology product range,” he continued, “and is an excellent demonstration of the direction in which MAN is going globally.
