MAN Gets On-Board With Hoyer And Wincanton At FPS ‘10

Trucks kindly loaned by two of the UK’s leading fuel-oil distributors, Hoyer and Wincanton, head-up MAN’s stand at this year’s FPS Show.

Two 6x2 tractor units from MAN’s TGS stable are on show; the Hoyer truck is displayed in Total Bitumen livery on MAN’s outside stand, and, on MAN’s inside stand, Wincanton’s vehicle is presented in ConocoPhillips colours.

MAN’s TGS range has become the backbone for many of the UK’s fuel distributors. The 6x2 specification offers excellent payload potential, especially with its ‘Lite’ midlift axle configuration, and with a range of cab options to suit almost all operational requirements. And, of course, EGR ‘Add Nothing’ engine technology means all the costs and complexities of using AdBlue can be ignored – even at Euro-5.

For smaller operators delivering to rural locations, MAN’s TGM middleweight rigid range is also finding favour. High manoeuvrability is the key attribute with MAN’s 18 tonner, and particularly with the 26 tonne TGM model with its rear steering axle capability, and, again, a variety of cab options and wheel-bases to provide a no-compromise specification.
