Lanz Group Takes Aim with 'Bullet-Proof' MANs

Waste management company, Lanz Group, has described MAN’s TGS 35.360 BB 8x4 tipper chassis as ‘bullet-proof’, after taking delivery of four new 360bhp 8x4s to add to its growing MAN multi-axle fleet.

The trucks, supplied by MAN’s Heathrow Truck Centre, the Cordwallis Group, include three tippers for muck-away work, and a Roll-on-off skip unit for waste recycling. The tippers feature Thompson bodywork and Edbro underfloor tipping gear.

“They’re brilliant trucks,” said Bob Leach, Transport Manager at Lanz Group, “and best described as bullet-proof. They’re just ideal for our type of work, very robust and very reliable.

Lanz has been an MAN operator since 1987,” he said, “and they’ve never built a bad truck – and we don’t have the added hassle of AdBlue.

“Our in-house workshops find maintenance and service of the new MAN trucks technician friendly and a pleasure to maintain”, he added.

Established in 1943, Lanz Group is a family-owned business, and is now one of the leading waste management service providers in Berkshire. From its headquarters on the outskirts of Heathrow Airport, the company operates throughout the Thames Valley.

Core activities include waste collection, recycling and land restoration. It has an extensive fleet of waste collection orientated vehicles and a comprehensive range of plant and equipment. It’s newly built, sorting and recycling plant is state-of-the-art and one of only a few throughout the UK.
