20 Up for Kammac

Logisitics provider to the FMCG industry, Kammac plc, has taken delivery of 20 MAN TGX 26.440BLS 6x2 tractor units as fleet replacements. The units are now in service on the company’s distribution division and take the predominantly MAN fleet to 50.

The new MAN fleet comes equipped with the MAN Fleet Management system – the all-encompassing online ‘tool’ to help Kammac with VOSA compliance. Included also is MAN EcoStyle, MAN’s driver performance package which will provide Kammac with real time data on individual driving techniques and, crucially, how profitably its vehicles are operating.

“Driver performance monitoring has proved exceedingly useful,” said Paul Kamel, Managing Director “we’ve had the system installed on our MAN’s for over four years now, and it’s allowed us to ‘raise the fuel economy bar’ to a high average figure right across the fleet – all our drivers are just about on a par.”

“We’ve had MANs for six years now,” he said, “and they’ve always proved very reliable. Commercially, MAN’s whole life cost package remains extremely competitive, and, of course, the non-requirement of AdBlue is a major factor for us, too.”

Kammac is one of the UK’s leading providers of outsourced business solutions. The company offers a range of service that “process efficiencies to FMCG operations” including storage logistics, distribution, contract packaging, manufacturing & brewery support, brewing speciality beers, brewery container services, waste management and facilities management.
