The fully electric city bus has been chosen as the winner of the iF Gold Award in the "Automobile/Vehicle/Bike" category by the design judging panel of the iF International Forum. The bus design team has now won an iF Design Award for the fifth year running.
Excellent choice focusing on safety – at the Busworld Awards 2019 competition, the new MAN Lion’s City 12 G with MAN EfficientHybrid made the running in the “Safety Label Bus” category.
International trade journalists from 22 countries have selected the new MAN Lion’s Coach as “Coach of the Year 2020”. The jury were blown away by its coherent concept – combining cost-efficiency, comfort and reliability – as well as its distinctive MAN design.
As of late, 189 MAN Lion’s City buses have been ensuring that residents and tourists of Trondheim, Norway arrive at their destinations safely, comfortably and, above all, in an environmentally friendly manner. The vehicles are powered with biogas or biodiesel, allowing the Norwegian city to rely on efficient and clean solutions for inner-city traffic.

At the moment, the idea of city buses making their rounds without a driver is no more than a glimpse of the future. The @City and @City-AF projects have been launched in order to address the challenges of automated driving in an urban environment and to help make progress in this area. MAN Truck & Bus is supporting the research initiative.
