The Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG has given its consent to the change at the head of the Executive Board area Production & Logistics: Dr. Carsten Intra will succeed Lars Wrebo, who will be moving to the executive board of another company as of 01st April 2012.

Swedish by birth, Lars Wrebo has been a member of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG since 2006. In this period he introduced the MAN Production System as an international standard in all plants and in this way contributed to the continual optimisation of productivity, quality and ecological efficiency in the global network for production of trucks, buses and engines under the MAN and NEOPLAN brands.

"The Supervisory Board thanks Lars Wrebo for his successful activity as Director Production. In this capacity he has created production structures that have played a vital role in improving our international competitiveness," said Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus AG.

Dr. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, Spokesman of the Executive Boards of MAN SE and MAN Truck & Bus AG, added: "Our special thanks go to Mr. Wrebo for his successful commitment. We are pleased to have found in Dr. Intra an eminently suitable successor from our own ranks. He will contribute his expertise in this area and his international management experience to achieving a further increase in the value added at MAN."

Dr. Carsten Intra is moving to MAN Truck & Bus from its sister group MAN Latin America. In Brazil he has, as a member of the Management Board, already been responsible for the Production & Logistics area. The holder of a doctorate in mechanical engineering, he came to MAN Truck & Bus in 2001 and occupied various positions in the Production & Logistics area until 2009. Dr. Intra is married and has two children.
