Ten NEOPLAN Starliner have just been delivered to North German coach operator Hülsmann Reisen. The order is unique in NEOPLAN's history. It is the largest single delivery of second-generation Starliner coaches to a European customer. Founded in 1929 and with a long tradition behind it, Hülsmann Reisen is celebrating its 85th anniversary by giving itself the best possible birthday gift with these coaches. In addition, Hülsmann Reisen now has one of the largest fleets of these luxury coaches. The company deploys the NEOPLAN Starliner in international travel and tourist transport.

"The NEOPLAN Starliner provides everything you could possibly need to get that feeling of absolute comfort on a trip. Its generous interior, quality materials and ample legroom make passengers feel that the holiday has already begun. The technical specifications of these high quality coaches are also impressive when compared with the competition," Karl Hülsmann junior, management board member, commented when the coaches were handed over.

With a total length of up to 14 metres, the 3-axle NEOPLAN Starliner offers between 50 and 54 seats for luxury travel. The 12.8 litre, six-cylinder, 505 hp MAN D26 engine ensures powerful propulsion. The automatic MAN TipMatic Coach 12-speed gearbox supports economical driving by optimis-ing gear-shifting. The hill start assist and a special manoeuvring feature help the driver in difficult situations.

Furthermore, the coaches are equipped with numerous safety systems. In addition to the electronic Comfort Drive Suspension (CDS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Guard System (LGS), the features also include xenon headlights with cornering light and a rear view camera.

The interior is particularly comfortable. The seats are spaced well apart. The partially leather finish of the seats and the wood look floor covering lend an air of luxury to the interior. As well as giving passenger information, the Multi Media Coach (MMC) Advanced infotainment system provides route guidance if required via the three built-in LCD monitors. The heat protection glazing ensures pleasant interior temperatures. The refrigerating package prevents the water lines and hoses from freezing in winter.
