MAN Nutzfahrzeuge gets major order from Greece for 160 NEOPLAN buses

NEOPLAN is market leader in Greece for intercity buses and coaches

MAN Nutzfahrzeuge has received a major order from Greece for the delivery of 160 NEOPLAN buses. Papadakis Bros. S.A., the authorized dealer of MAN Hellas Truck & Bus S.A., has sold 135 Tourliners produced by the Ankara plant in Turkey and 25 Cityliner buses from Germany, all of which will be deployed in intercity operation around Greece.

Many Greek bus operators are currently renewing their intercity fleets and are acquiring modern, environmentally-friendly buses. The focus is on more safety and greater comfort for driver and passengers. Fleet renewals are being subsidised by the Greek government. The NEOPLAN Tourliner is the best selling model on the Greek coach market. For many years, Greek bus operators have been relying on the dependable NEOPLAN Tourliner and Cityliner. In the past few years, the MAN Hellas sales partner, Papadakis, has increased the share of the intercity and coach markets to as much as 40 percent. NEOPLAN is number one in this market segment in Greece.

Papadakis is headquartered in Elefsina near Athens and has been active for NEOPLAN buses in Greece for around 20 years. This family company also customises buses according to the customers' wishes and places particular emphasis on complete After Sales service once the vehicle has been handed over.
