Olaf Schneider to head new Compliance Department

MAN strengthens compliance organization

As of January 1, 2010, MAN SE is to set up a new Compliance Department which will be headed by Olaf Schneider. As Chief Compliance Officer, the 38-year-old lawyer will build up this new department with his own team and assume worldwide responsibility for compliance organization throughout the entire MAN Group. For organizational purposes, he will report to the Chief Executive Officer, Håkan Samuelsson.

By realigning these organizational and personnel aspects, MAN is strengthening its compliance organization as part of a five-point program to promote a sustainable compliance structure.

Most recently, Mr. Schneider has carried out various management assignments at General Electric, holding positions such as General Manager and Head of Compliance. He previously worked as a lawyer for the law firm Linklaters.
